Leadership

"And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets,

third teachers; then deeds of power, then gifts of healing,

forms of assistance, forms of leadership..." (1 Corinthians 12:28)

Both lay (non-ordained) and clergy share leadership in the Episcopal Church. The Vestry is the governing body of a church and oversees the property and assets of a church, while the Rector (Head Pastor) is a priest who is in charge of the worship and music of the church, manages the entire staff, and chairs the Vestry. Together, our Rector and Vestry set the vision, mission, and ministries of St. Luke's.
