Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
"She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy."
(Proverbs 31:20-21)
Nationally, the vision of ECW for all women of the Episcopal Church is that "we become a vibrant blend of all ages, coming together as a peacemaking, healing part of the Church. We aspire to be a God spark –the core self, the part of us made in God’s image, spirit and soul - shining and sharing the love of Christ."
Every Episcopal woman is automatically a member, and are welcomed to participate. At St. Luke’s, ECW sponsors Souper Bowl Sunday, selling delectable homemade soups to raise money for local feeding programs. The ECW also supports our prayer quilt ministry, the Christmas At Sea knitting ministry, and similar projects. Find out more about Christmas At Sea at their website, Seamen's Church Institute.
ECW meets quarterly, one the 5th Saturday of any month, for breakfast at 9 AM in the parish hall, unless there is a special need to call an extra meeting. For more details, visit our Calendar and Events.
